Took 15 minutes before waiter served our table. Poor service and food is average.

Great food and service, especially from our server 'Elizabeth'-- very attentive and helpful. Love the new look of the place too, very up to date. Definitely recommend the dishes: Chicken Trio, Lobster Mac, and Prosciutto Shrimp (make sure you get the Minestrone soup as a side, much better selection than the typical house salad). Would've been a 5 star rating but was let down when I wasn't able to order a Risotto dish since there aren't any-- closest item to it is the Orzo from the Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp. Definitely would be good to add a dish or 2 of risotto to the menu.

The best place for an excellent meal and a nice glass of wine any day of the week... Very reasonable prices for five star cuisine! And great to come out with the whole family

We went there on a early Sunday evening around 5:00, it was just starting to get crowded. We did get seated right away but my 7 year daughter from the moment we walked in did not like the smell of the place of which I sort of told her it was just a mixture of food smells. From reading the reviews below it was probably the nasty throw up smell everyone has referred to. So with that, I should have listened to her and gone somewhere else but since I have not been there before I figured I'd give it a shot. We had 6 people in our party, 3 kids and 3 adults. The service took forever and I usually try to be patient but when you are rolling with 3 kids in your group they really start to get antsy and this was not the place to just wait and wait. The waiter was pleasant and took our order but I think he was pretty new. He came back like 10 mins after putting in our order asking us what sides we wanted with our meals. We were like seriously?!? They brought out the kids meals pretty quick but at that point did not bring out soups and salads. We had to find someone to remind them that our soups have not come out yet. It was just really slow. Our food finally made it out and the food was not bad but during dinner my daughter who ordered just a cheese pizza had to use the restroom because she had a stomach ache. Which repeated twice that evening before we left. The food itself was decent. I did not have many choices being a vegetarian so I had to opt a seafood dish and at the time it was ok but later I was paying for it. My friends who also went with us also complained later they had stomach issues. Overall, the service here was super slow and the food was ok - not the best but not the worst. I'm rating it only a 1 because the service was really slow and I will not be going back here again. I'm usually not harsh with my reviews but this place was just not that great as I've heard it was. For the price, I would have expected more.

Dined in with my husband, had a good time. Ordered ravioli with chicken and spinach, tasted pretty good. What we Really enjoyed was the creamy fettuccine mixed with garlic shrimp & yummy minced shiitake mushrooms!!!

Very good italian. Better than all the other chains like macaroni grill, and Olive Garden. Food is fresh and always flavorful.

Updating my review because I recently had a great experience at Carrabbas. Why did I have a great experience? Let me count the ways... 1. Happy Hour = 2 for 1 drinks. 2. Great friends. 3. Spiedino Di Mare 4. House wine blend was yummy. 5. Server was good. Overall, my recent trip changed my view of Carrabbas. Welcome back to my life! I typically don't like chains and it's mainly because the food isn't of good quality or it is just plain bad. But this Carrabbas is amazing. I just love the Spiedino Di Mare.... I typically have it with a side of pasta instead of the potatoes or vegies. So good! I just can't get enough of this dish. The Bruschetta was average. Great job Carrabbas!

I love Carrabas even if I always spend a buttload when I'm there! But I just can't get over their Chicken Bryan, Minestrone Soup and Lemoncello drink! I'm addicted! The food is pricey! The atmosphere is very nice and clean. And the service is great! They renovated this location and it looks a lot better than before. The servers are very attentive. I got served last by Elizabeth! She was a sweetheart! I don't live close to this location anymore but I frequently attend the one in Broward and it's just as good. Although their Broward restaurant isn't as beautiful as this newly renovated one! They need to start doing happy hour Lemoncello specials!!!!!

They do not know how to cook a burger. New waitress was awful. Food was ok at best. Too bad this place went down the sewer pipe. It was good while it lasted.

Other than their at their table during the YSB'15 Pirate Takeover, this is one chain restaurant I had never tried. Yet based on my experience at the Miami Lakes Carabbas, I can say that this culinary chain excites me (sorry Rihanna)! I found this Carabba's on Yelp Mobile after work and scouting another Urban Exploration venture. Despite a full Friday night dinner crowd, I was seated immediately in a solo diner area they have - with a view of the kitchen (nice touch as a foodie!) My "test dish" was their caprese salad. Although I didn't add prosciutto, just the vegetables combined for a great taste between the cool mozzarella, thin sliced tomatoes, basil and strong chopped onions. My lentil soup was as perfectly spicy and rich as my waitress Natalie told me. Main course (yeah I eat a lot, but skipped lunch yesterday!) was their Chicken Bryan, a flash seared chicken breast with flavorful sundried tomatoes, a side of pasta pomodoro (with a not skimpy spread of marinara) and creamy goat cheese. I managed to get dessert as well - with their apple crostata to go (basically apple pie a la mode). It was packed well, with the ice cream separate from the hot pastry. However, by the time I got home I should have reheated it (pro-tip for next time.) Overall service was sharp and staff pleasant for a full Friday night. I will keep it in my dinner rotation!

Love the lasagna it's that simple. Out of all the local Italian spots they really stand out across the board. From appetizers to deserts they really hit the spot. Service is always on point. If you want to know my choice on the dessert menu it's Tiramisu yummmmm

Very good for a chain restaurant. Lunch specials are $7.99 and well worth it. Endless bread with an excellent olive oil salt-and-pepper just make it divine. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The Caprizzi appetizer though I would skip. It was three pieces of mozzarella surrounded by cut up tomatoes and not presented properly in my opinion also not enough cheese to go around for all the tomato. I opted for the half soup and half Sandwich combination. There was a delicious chicken Parmesan sandwich, and a spicy lentil sausage soup. Others in my party had the linguine with shrimp and they enjoyed it as well.

Dear Carrabba's: Where the hell have you been all my life!?!?!!! It's rare when I crave Italian food and when I do I usually go to Olive Garden and leave saying the same thing "not coming back here again" so expensive for no good reason! I have been to Carrabba's 3 times now (2 of those being in the same week!) and WOW!!! I don't understand why I haven't been here before and more often! One thing I MUST before continuing....this place is pricey. okay let's continue...shall we?... I have ordered the Veal with pasta and I have to say it does lack a little flavor but still a great dish. But the dish I would like to rave about in this review is the Pollo Rosa Maria. Whoa baby! It is the most flavorful juiciest with a lightly crisp chicken I have and probably will ever have in my life! It is amazing! The pasta is light and not as greasy as others (Olive garden) and the pasta alone gets 5 stars it's cooked so perfectly! Come this place and give the other Italian places a rest, you won't regret it!

I ordered Pasta weesie and bill was $17. It was a lunch portion size, they gave me ministrone soup when I asked for chicken, and they gave no bread with meal. This meal was not even worth $8. Horrible experience, nasty food.

I see this place has been remodeled since My last visit, but the service hasn't changed. Don't get me wrong, they make fresh Italian food that taste good, but when your have a waiter that doesn't give your table much attention, it doesn't give you a sense of fulfillment when your eating hear. Our server took forever to order us drink, then it took forever to get our salads, bread refill came after main cuisine was served, and refills on drinks where very slow. I ordered a house salad and got a Cesar salad, but didn't say nothing because I didn't want to wait longer. Too hungry and no bread at the table and no drink refilled. All I know is management needs to improve their staff for better service because my service was horrible. Only reason it gets 2 stars was my pasta dish was slightly above mediocre.

The appetizers are the only items off the menu worth ordering, other than that, the place is an overpriced version of Olive Garden. At least at Olive Garden the abundance of food you get adds to the quality. There is nothing more annoying than paying a premium for food and drinks and walking out still hungry. This place was a disappointment because the mediocre food and small portions were overpriced.

Love their complimentary bread dipped in their olive oil with special spices. They are one of the few restaurants that accepts reservations and can accommodate big parties. Their grilled chicken is awesome. And so is their Peach Sangria. I always order the Sicilian chicken soup too. Yummy!

Its been about two years since I wrote my first review. We still dine at Carrabbas about once a month Since 2013 prices have increased slightly. Service is the same. Its hit or miss with the quality of the servers and friendliness. Lately there has been more hits than misses. Food when dining in is always consistently good and I still feel like they give you less for take out. The oil is no longer on the table for the bread. Now the server gives you the oil and spices already mixed together on a plate when they deliver the bread. Coupons are still easy to get online, or in the Sunday paper coupon inserts. Mostly 20% off or $10 off 2 entrees. Love going for Happy hour on Friday and like that they dont make you sit at the bar to get the half off drinks like many restaurants. This is sitll my favorite chain.

I gotta say this night was quite pleasant at Carrabba's. I haven't been in a long time as it was not one of my favorites but I'm glad this was where we decided to go for dinner. We had the mussels for and appetizer and they were phenomenal. Prices were not to bad, overall the food surprised me, and the service and ambience were great. I look forward to trying it out again.

Right in my backyard. We order take out all the time and they are pretty prompt with service. Sometimes they don't get orders right when you ask for specific things to leave out of a dish. But nothing too hard to fix. Overall, it's a good place.

Bread was super hot soft and crispy! The salmon was FIRE! The steak tasted awesome and the chicken noodle was off the chain! The service was great and there is attention to detail like bringing out more lemons on the second refill of water! Every time I come here I come happy! Oh and again the wood fire salmon with lemon butter was freaking amazing!

We were on the move and didn't have much of an option but this one is always a good one. We love the complimentary bread with olive oil & herbs especially fresh out the oven. The food is OK but this is just not really authentic Italian food. We really didn't go out here expecting authentic Italian but just some good food. We will be back again but probably not for a while.

love their johnny rocco salad but at this location the service sucks!! It's a shame because the food is always good but they really need to pay attention to their customers. We will be back again but probably not for a while.

My wife and I showed up half an hour before closing time. We were not rushed, nor were we limited on what we could order for dinner. We got great service, and delicious food. We stayed until about 20 minutes after closing, and were made to feel welcome the entire time. Service and consideration like that is hard to find in South Florida.

Our waiter was very attentive! We ordered to start the chicken, bacon and cheese flat bread! Tasteful and was a good starting dish! The Calamari is also very good but we decided to try the flat bread! Lasagna was very good and of I also had the lentil and sausage soup! Spicy but it's still one of my favorite at this place! Of course we can not forget that their bread is always hot and taste great!! Overall it's a good place to eat! Nice ambience, good food, and friendly people!!!

My ultimate favorite dish is the spedino De mare. The sea scallops are huge, combine with the shrimp, and I'm in heaven! Today I decided to try something new, something off their specials. Not disappointed at all!!! I tried their cavatappi rustica.. The portion was very large and while it contained veggies, it wasn't overpowering. They also didn't skimp on the sausages, there was plenty. finally, one can never go wrong at a place where the bread is dipped in olive oil! Usually I combine a meal with a glass of wine, but since it was an early dinner, I had their house sangria. A perfect pairing!

My mother and I decided to try Carrabbas for the first time for their 3 for 15 deal. When we ordered the server informed us that that deal wasn't available for lunch. No biggie. He suggested that we order the pasta wheezy and it was delicious! We also ordered the parmesan salad and the italian salad which were awesome. And the bread was great. Our server was great too.

I've been to this Carabba's more than a dozen times and have always left satisfied. The servers were very kind and prompt with our requests, and the food was always on point. Reasonably priced for the portions and quality. The restaurant is usually never overly crowded nor strangely empty. Definitely a fan.

  • Ariadna P.

The server was great! I went for a late lunch/early dinner with a few friends, she brought out one basket with bread, we were starving and so we ate it all and she quickly brought another one. We wanted to order sangria and they have three different types, she quickly went to the kitchen and brought us samples of all three. The food was really good, it wasn't amazing but it was reasonably priced, and good portions, even a little extra to take home. Will definitely be coming back to this location.

I was told this place is better than Olive Garden. Yeah, that was a lie. So I was tricked into going to Carrabba's with the impression that it was going to kick ass and yeah, mediocre at best. We went on a Saturday night and decided to call ahead so that the wait wouldn't be so long; 45 minutes before. Get to the place and still had to wait an additional 35 minutes. Ridiculous. We finally are seated and at this point I'm a bit flustered and confused as to what really is the point of "calling ahead" if you're still going to wait the same amount of time had you just arrived. We order drinks and crab cakes to start. The crab cakes came out in less than 10 minutes and sucked. I decided to order the Spiedino Di Mare, breaded shrimp and scallops with pasta. Although I ate it all, it was not as satisfying as I had hoped for. At that point, I did not care for dessert, I just wanted to leave and kick myself in the ass for letting someone convince me from going to Olive Garden. Never again Carrabba's, never again.

I've given Carrabba's several chances to make up for the lacking previous experience and this time they really blew it. We ordered take out and had their special 3 course meal. Beware your 3 course meal can turn into 2 course or 1 course if you don't check your take out bag. Got home only to realize the tiramisu was missing from one of the orders. The soup was missing from the other order along with the side of string beans. Had to drive back to get all the missing items. I'm pretty done with this place. I don't think the food even makes up for the lack of service.

I'm never dissapointed by this place. Its reasonably priced and the food taste's like an authentic mom and pop italian restaurant. The portions are fairly big. I always get the small chicken marsala with mashed potatoes. It is delish. Their bread is outta hand, always warm and fluffy..you gotta eat it with olive oil and herb blend. I don't give it 5 stars because their dessert menu is a bit weak. They took out the tiramisu, which to me is an Italian dessert staple. But overall I love this place, which reminds me I have 2 gift cards I gotta spend real soon :)

had a very nice dinner last night with the misses. we arrived about 6;30. The hostess told us it would be about 45 min wait. working at Joes stone crab,I didnt think it was too bad.the buzzer went off about 30 min later and we where seated at a booth.was comfy. Emily our server (waitress) was helpful and Knowledgeable of the menu and had some good recomondations.we took her advise and orded the mussels sirloin and pork chop(a bit dry) but flavorful. We had to pass on dessert. Very nice experience.

I came here as a "last resort" on Saturday night. It was day 1 of my protein only diet and I was craving a steak. Everything else around the neighborhood was packed so I figured "why not Carrabba's?" BIG MISTAKE. We get there and for a Saturday night the wait wasn't too bad. It was just 10 minutes. We are finally seated... it took 20 minutes to see a waiter. There was 3 empty tables around us so it wasn't that busy. When the waiter finally came I gave him my order and told him that I wanted everything together as quickly as possible because I was starving. 30 minutes later my food is still not there. At this point, I have a migraine from starvation and ask for my food to go. My waiter proceeds to tell me that he still had not put in my order. ::mouth drops in shock:: I paid for my soda and went on my merry way. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because I do get take out from them sometimes and the food is good. The service at the restaurant not so much.

The place smelt like throw up when we walked in. It took over 20mins for our waiter to take our drink order. We spent a total of 2.5hrs there just waiting on our food. -They brought our drinks out 15mins later, then took another 30mins just for some bread and oil, then another 30 mins for the appetizers, then another 30-45mins for our food... For some weird reason we had 2 waiters which juggled back and forth. Food was dull and boring. The only thing good was the chocolate cake at the end. Overall, not worth waiting for the food.

Its hard to find a place the parentals both like... and this seems to be the choice for now. I have been to this location twice recently and both times its been great. The service has been good, two for 1 drinks and the food is delicious. Spicy -- Shrimp Scampi Appetizer -- by far my favorite. It is sauteed with garlic, lemon butter and white wine. You put a shrimp on a piece of bread and its heaven in your mouth. WOW Bruschetta -- very tasty -- my sister's favorite Chicken Marsala -- my sister had this and i tasted it and it was very good. My dad had the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and I wish I would have ordered this, very good and if you make my dad happy then that's a big plus. Medium -- Manicotti -- i had this the first time. It was good, nothing special. Mild -- Sangria. I like it just wish it could be a little stronger. I had the Sicilian Chicken Soup and it was good, but nothing special and a little too spicy. Overall, its pretty good for a chain restaurant. The last time I went they had an issue with the credit card system and the server told me my card had been denied, twice! But the manager at this location was very nice and explained the problem which was good enough for me.

I've been to a handful of Carabba's from Tallahassee to South Miami and this location was the worst. Pretty empty and smelled like vomit (never understood the concept behind carpet in a restaurant) couldn't finish my meal and worse yet my beer; and I NEVER leave a soldier behind.

I gave a 3 because of the front door service. I was visiting Florida on business and this place was recommended by a co-worker. The place is lit dim but not too dark. There were 4 hostesses standing around at the front when I walked in who were not paying any attention. They were gathered around each other gossiping. It didn't take long to get their attention. Once seated, the waiter waisted no time. The waiter was awesome, he was very prompt and polite. The food came quick, and the waiter never failed to check up on how things were going. I had the seafood canelloni. Wasn't too much however, surprisingly filling. The food was good, not the best but, satisfying. What do you expect from a chain? The mojitos are descent and the bread is very hot and fresh. Aside from the front door service from needing some improvement, I would definitely come here again. Especially for their 2 for 1 happy hour!

I used to live near a different Carrabba's that was great. There isn't one close by (I live in pembroke pines) so I went to this one. I went on a thursday at about 6:30 and it wasn't crowded at all. First off, yes the smell hit me. To me it smelled like a dirty bathroom type smell. I was starving with a toddler though, so I hoped it was the smell of the cleaning solution for the tables. Service was extremely slow. First, the waiter brought me the incorrect drink. She never came back with the correct one, someone else brought our salads. I kept waiting for her to come back, finally I had to flag down a hostess to get her to bring it. When she did she didn't apologize at all (I never actually complained- never do to someone before my food arrives!). She never brought refills, we had to ask (after trying to find her for long periods of time). The food itself was really good though (chicken marsala), the desert was so-so (tiramisu). The plus was that at least I had a coupon.

We went early Saturday evening, around 6. Hostess didn't bother to greet us, just asked how many and then walked off to go look for a table, no be right back, just a moment, etc, just walked off. Service was so-so but he took my companions water to be refill (only thing he was drinking) and never came back, we finally had to ask for it. Food was VERY disappointing. Pollo Rosa Maria that is supposed to be stuffed with prosciutto only had 2 tiny little slivers in 1 of the pieces, nothing in the other. The mussels, which I ALWAYS order as they are my favorite didn't taste right, sweetish, sticky sauce with only a very tiny amount of garlic. Men's bathroom stall lock broken so it wouldn't stay closed. The floor was just filthy next to us with crumbs and what looked like tiny pieces of torn up paper, hostess saw this and didn't bother to have anyone clean up (remember this was early). We didn't bother to complain to manager about all of above, figured there was so much wrong that it had to start with management. However, did write Corporate Carrabba's and they DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO RESPOND! I love the mussels but I can do better at home with a copycat recipe than what I got for my birthday dinner. We'll be passing on any Carrabba's from now on as apparently corporate can't be bothered either.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
